How It is Possible

Our volunteers are the heart of our ministry. There are always positions to fill, and volunteers are always greatly appreciated. If you’re interested in volunteering your time, we encourage you to email us at info@option1.org or call us at 605-692-1612.

Patient Advocate

These volunteers help by meeting with clients for pregnancy tests and ultrasounds and assisting in decision-making by providing information. These volunteers are trained by staff in the FOCUS method. If possible, we ask that these volunteers commit to cover 2 shifts each month.

Receptionist

These volunteers are essential as they are the first friendly face to greet and check clients in. If possible, we ask that these volunteers commit to cover 2 shifts each month.

Client Mentor

Our client mentors provide compassionate guidance and support to an expectant mother or couple on their journey to parenthood through a personal mentor/mentee relationship. *This volunteer must already be filling a receptionist or advocate position and be trained to fill this role as opportunities arise.

Prayer Ministry

The Prayer Ministry team receives texts from Option 1 detailing prayer “in-the-moment” needs for our patients. This is a simple yet powerful way to be involved with the gospel mission of Option 1.
